U.S. Markets for Nonvascular Stents
June 2006, 150 pages
Report #A251

Stents are implantable devices designed to serve as endoluminal scaffolds in the recanalization of occluded or structurally compromised vascular and nonvascular circulatory conduits in various organs and tissues of the human body.  Nonvascular applications for stenting include biliary stenting, gastrointestinal stenting, pulmonary stenting, and urologic stenting.  In 2005, U.S. sales of nonvascular stents totaled approximately $152 million.  Over the forecast period covered by this report, this figure is expected to increase at a compound annual rate of 2.8%, reaching approximately $174 million in the year 2010.

This 150-page report from Medtech Insight includes analyses of products, technologies, current and forecast markets, competitors, and opportunities in the U.S. nonvascular stents market.  Topics discussed in this report include current and emerging stenting technologies (e.g., stent design, materials, and coatings), biliary tract obstruction, gastrointestinal tract obstruction, pulmonary tract obstruction, and urinary tract obstruction.

Methodology

Reports are produced exclusively by Medtech Insight, through extensive primary and secondary research among the clinicians, researchers, and competitors in the marketplace, and draw upon the industry expertise of a network of industry insiders. Medtech Insight exhaustively corroborates the data as a baseline for completing forward-looking analysis and providing insight into product, technology and market evolution.
