Among the disorders covered by this report are Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, bipolar disorder, depression, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, and stroke. Among the covered surgical procedures are carotid endarterectomy, cerebral aneurysm clipping, deep brain stimulation, and ventricular shunting/ventriculostomy.

Procedure volumes forecasts are for the years 2010-2016, with aggregate figures for the EU countries of France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. as well as for the U.K. alone. Disease incidence and prevalence figures are for the year 2010.
