Investment In Innovation (In3):  A Preview of
Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies
     

This two-day event highlighted emerging technologies being developed by 53 small, mostly privately-held medical technology companies seeking partnering and/or investment.  The meeting drew an attendance of over 270 senior executives from the investment community and major medical technology, biopharmaceutical, biotech, and other companies.

The forum provided focused overviews by a senior executive from each company, followed by the opportunity to meet one-on-one in private breakout rooms.

CardioNow, Inc. -- hospital web-based cardiology networks

CHF Solutions, Inc. -- technology to manage fluid overload in congestive heart failure patients

Computerized Thermal Imaging, Inc. -- non-invasive, painless breast cancer detection

Confluent Surgical, Inc. -- in-situ-polymerized biomaterials therapy for the prevention of post-surgical adhesions

Electrical Geodesics, Inc. -- dense-array EEG system for functional brain imaging

Endologix, Inc. -- minimally invasive technologies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease

Endotex Interventional Systems -- self-expanding stent systems for the treatment of carotid and peripheral arterial diseases

ESTECH, Inc. -- least invasive cardiac surgery technology for atrial fibrillation

FzioMed, Inc. -- bio-absorbable products for adhesion prevention

Genomic Profiling Systems, Inc. -- rapid microbial analysis technologies

HaptoGuard, Ltd. –- diagnostic haptoglobin test to inform diabetic patients of their predisposition to diabetes-related complications
