“Investment In Innovation (In3):  A Preview of 

    Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies”

This two-day event highlighted emerging technologies being developed by 50 small, mostly privately-held medical technology companies seeking partnering and/or investment. The meeting drew an attendance of more than 300 senior executives from the investment community and major medical technology, biopharmaceutical, biotech, and other companies.

The forum provided focused overviews by a senior executive from each company, followed by the opportunity to meet one-on-one in private breakout rooms.

Cell Robotics International, Inc. -- needleless capillary blood sampling system for both clinical and home use

Celsion Corporation -- focused heating technologies for use with drug and gene therapies

CeMines, Inc. -- early detection and treatment of breast, gi, lung, and prostate cancer through precision molecular fingerprinting

Conor Medsystems, Inc. -- drug-eluting stent technology

Corazón Technologies, Inc. -- devices to remove calcification in coronary and peripheral arteries, aortic heart valves, and kidney and uretal stones

CryoCor, Inc. -- cryoablation system to treat atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias

DOBI Medical Systems, Inc. -- technology for optical imaging, designed to identify vascular changes associated with cancer

Dynamic Spine, LLC -- Intervertebral Prosthetic Disc (IPD), disc replacement device

ElectroGene, Inc. -- electrical stimulation of cartilage to stop the progress of arthritis

EpiThera, Inc. -- immune-based diagnostics and therapeutics for the treatment of coronary artery disease

FlexAble Systems, Inc. -- solutions for precision measurement by combining smart sensors, portable and hand-held microcomputers, and comprehensive software

Impres Medical, Inc. -- new therapy for abnormal uterine bleeding called deactivation

Infinite Medical Technology -- midstream urine catching device

InjectiMed, Inc. -- needlestick protection technology and devices

Inner Vision Imaging, LLC -- cellular level detail of tissues and organs without the necessity to perform biopsies or organ removals

Intellison, Inc. -- artificial intelligence for medical imagery

iSense Corporation -- minimally invasive continuous glucose sensor

Islet Sheet Medical, LLC -- bio-artificial pancreas

Keimar Corporation -- microsensors on a guidewire to continuously measure blood gases in critically ill patients

M-Biotech, Inc. -- glucose biosensors for continuous monitoring of glucose levels in diabetic patients
